Job Responsibilities for Heavy Equipment Mechanics Involve, But Not Limited To:

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on all construction equipment

• Familiarity with Caterpillar construction equipment

• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems

• Work overtime as workload dictates

• Proactively maintains a safe and clean work environment

• Work independently as well as part of a team

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs

• Jobsite travel during construction season, Berthold shop during winter

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic

• Two-year associates degree in related field preferred or equivalent applicable experience

• Trade-specific tooling, including hand and pneumatic tools

• Individual must be able to work well without supervision

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new skills

• Ability to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle

• CDL or willingness to obtain

• Must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S.
